Swiss Cancer Institute/Incyte HERo in Science Award
The prize isendowed with CHF 30'000.– and is intended to promote the continuation of a clinical or translational research project.
Requirements for the candidates
With this scholarship, we offer a funding program specifically for female researchers. The aim is to promote and support their projects and careers in cancer research. The eligible candidates are:
- Practicing female physicians who are currently active in clinical and/or translational cancer research in Switzerland
- The minimum requirement is a research activity in Switzerland from January 1 to December 31, 2025
- There are no age restrictions
Focus
The award is given to a researcher conducting a clinical or translational research project that results in a tangible improvement in patient management and/or outcomes in the field of oncology and hematologic malignancies.
Applications
Applications must be written in English and include the following information:
- Project proposal, maximum five pages, including rationale, methodology, feasibility, budget and potential impact
- Curriculum vitae of the candidate
- Publication list of the candidate
- Publications can be primary research or review articles
- The candidate must be listed as an author in all publications
- Publications must have been published in a peer-reviewed journal in the period 2015-2025 or have been accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal
- Letter of support from the head of the candidate's current institution, including a guarantee to provide sufficient research time for the project
