Swiss Cancer Institute/Gilead Expanding Horizons Award
The healthcare system is constantly evolving and the field of oncology is advancing particularly rapidly. In order to maintain high quality patient care, it is therefore particularly important to support the continuous education of healthcare providers in this field. Gilead, in partnership with the Swiss Cancer Institute, would like to contribute to meeting this challenge by funding continuing education in the field of oncology. The prize is endowed with CHF 40'000.–.
Applicants
- Applicants who wish to have their training funded by the award must be employed by a healthcare institution in Switzerland and work in the field of oncology. Institutions in Switzerland can also apply.
- The prize can be awarded to entire teams as well as individuals; people with different backgrounds can apply, e.g. nurses, doctors or study coordinators.
- Funding of the project via a bank account of a healthcare facility/institution
Projects
Possible project types:
- Coaching of individuals or teams
- Continuous professional development/training initiatives for teams or individuals
- International internships in other healthcare facilities
- Training apps or other digital forms of training
Application
Applications must be written in English and include the following information:
- Background/justification of the project (including how this project will contribute to the applicant's oncology expertise)
- Detailed description of the project
- Timetable for the project
- Financial plan for the project
- CV of the main applicant (in the case of group applications, the CVs of all participants can be requested)
